For the second year in a row we attempted to catch a Leprechaun the night before St. Patrick's day. This is right up Nick's alley and he LOVES thinking about it for weeks in advance. There were several test traps but these were the final designs.
The next morning Nick was up and running downstairs at 7:15 and was SO anxious to see how the traps had worked. We stalled him just a few minutes to wake up Rachel. When we got down stairs Nick was waving his hands screaming "they came, they came!". BUT, just like last year they got away! Darn.
They did leave a delicious trail of Skittles that held a clue as to how they got out. Tricky guys!
After the kids ate all the candy they enjoyed Lucky Charms. Yes, a major sugar rush followed but it was SO worth it!
Later that day they had a fun play date with friends and finished off the celebration with a bowl of Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. What a fun and perfect day! :)
In Ben news, he has been enjoying moving his fist to his mouth. Love these first little milestones!
