Nick and I were just talking this morning about how Rachel won't be a baby much longer. Well she'll always be our baby but soon she'll be a toddler. Nick's response was "yeah".
Over the last couple of days she has been standing on her own a lot. She can even get to the standing position without holding on to anything. Although she is a little shy and nervous about walking without our help she has taken just a few steps by herself. 
Our other new and exciting thing is Nick and Rachel's kitchen. Thanks to the kid's Christmas money and a good deal at Costco we were able to find a perfect kitchen that the kids LOVE. They play in it all the time!
Nick often puts a cup in the microwave and makes us all hot chocolate. Yum! Fat free too! :) Yesterday he was cooking for a long time in HIS kitchen while I was in MY kitchen. After awhile we had this conversation:
Me: Hey Nick. What are you cooking?
Nick: A birthday party.
Me: That sounds delicious! What does a birthday party taste like?
Nick: Strawberries.
Makes you wanna come over and have some of Nick's cookin doesn't it?
