Pumpkin Carving

Pumpkin carving was almost as highly anticipated this year as Christmas morning. The kids were ready to start as soon as they woke up. We were able to stall for a few hours while the pumpkins came inside to dry then we all got to work.

Nick spent the morning drawing pictures of what he wanted his pumpkin to look like. He wanted his scary, very very scary.

This is also the first yeat that the kids were excited to clean them out. They took their jobs very seriously seperating goo from pumpkin seeds.

Then the carving began. Nick like popping out the pieces from his scary face.

One the pumpkins were carved the kids cleaned them up and made sure they were looking their best.

Then they went back outside. Nick hopes his scares everyone that passes. He actually told me earlier this week that he wants to put a speaker in his pumpkin, connect it to a cord and a microphone that go inside the house and use his voice to scare people. I have no idea where he gets some of his crazy ideas from but I love them! I think Rachel's pumpkin is already scared.
