4th of July: Part 2

After the parade and a trip home for naps we headed to our annual 4th of July party. We lucked out this year with great weather so Peter and the kids were eager to swim in the lake as soon as we got there.

Rachel tested out the cold lake water. This was her first time swimming in the lake so she needed a moment to soak it all in.

Nick didn't hesitate to catch a ride out to the water trampoline to play with his friends.

By far Rachel's favorite water activity was lounging on the floating chair while Daddy pushed her around the lake.

Peter took both the kids out for a ride in the kayak.

I was most impressed by Nick's water skills. He has been in swimming lessons for about 8 weeks and has grown leaps and bounds. As soon as he got his life jacket on he was out in the water showing off all that he has learned. He tries so hard, is so brave and really makes me proud! He even jumped off the dock!
