Rachel is TWO!

Rachel is two and is growing up so fast!

She is sweet, sassy and full of personality. Here are some facts and fun memories of our little girl:
- She is 34 7/8 inches tall (80th percentile)
- She weighs 25 lbs 8 oz (35th percentile)
- She will try almost any food but despite my best efforts hates milk
-Oranges are her favorite fruit
-She LOVES chips and salsa. We haven't come across a mexican restaurant salsa that is too hot for her.
- She eats ALOT. I don't know where it all goes!
- She sleeps about 10-11 hours a night and has a 2 hour afternoon nap
- She loves to pretend, especially with her kitchen, baby and dolls
- She likes to be outside, but normally not for very long
-Her favorite color is pink
-She can be very loud and likes to be the boss
-She is cautious and careful in everything that she does
-She can recognize the letters "N" and "R" and the words "Mommy", "Daddy", "Nick" and "Rachel"
-She can sing several songs including Little Bunny Foo Foo and ABC's
-She knows and uses two Spanish words/phrases. Ayudame (help me) and Gracias.
-She likes to help Nick count to 30 and can count to 13 all by herself
-She loves to "giddy up" around the house
-Her greatest comforts are her pacifier and twisting her hair
- She loves to say "I do it all by myself", "my turn first!", "me do it just like Nick"

Love you Rachel!

So interesting about the salsa! Natalie twists her hair...I hope Rachel doesn't get knots like Natalie does sometimes!

Loves to be read to. A favorite: “The Best Nest”
She can be tough (when knocked down by her brother) and also sensitive.
Loves to be cuddled and comforted on her terms. Otherwise, she’s very independent.
Active and busy but enjoys occasional quiet times.
A joy to have as a granddaugter!

Eli has been big into pretend lately too. This last week he started pretending he was different animals. One day he was a grasshopper, he hopped almost everywhere. The next day he was a bear and finished every statement with a growl. Most of the time the animal changes throughout the day. He and Rachel could have a salsa eating contest. Eli loves salsa too. The more on the chip, the better. He has yet to find any salsa thats "too spicy" for him. Crazy kids. Love all y'all! Miss you too!
