A few days ago we visited my friend Courtney at her school. One of the teachers there inspired him to build a trap to try and catch a Leprechaun. He was SO excited by the whole idea. As instructed, Nick found lots of shiney things from around the house to attract the tiny leprechauns, put tape out so they would get stuck and built a trap with help from Daddy. He asked me to write a few signs for him (Leprechaun's are known for not following rules), tested the trap a few times and then went to bed.
This morning he woke up and was a little nervous to check the trap. Who really wants to see a little green man in their house??? He found the trap down, with beads scattered everywhere and lots of green and yellow M&Ms under the trap, on the slide and even stuck in the tape...but no Leprechaun! He was convinced the Leprechaun might still be in the house so he searched and searched until he was finally sure that the little guy had gotten away. :)

So funny! We really miss you guys...
What a brilliant teacher to explain all that to him! I'm so glad to have helped to start a new family tradition! :)
